Earlier it used to work. But now, it does not.

I’ve ended up using WP Quick Cache. I have noticed absolutely NO bugs at all with this plugin. No strange issues appear out of no-where. It works. It seems fast. Server load is down. Profits are not up even though the blogs appear to be loading faster, but this probably requires some other magic which can’t be done by a cache plugin. My conclusion is that WP 3.1 users, specially those running network sites, should try out Quick Cache and stick to it without even looking at the other alternatives. There are some older plugins out there that I have tried and not mentioned in this post, most of those do not work at all or seriously break your site in a way you notice within 10 seconds. My advice: Just go with Quick Cache and leave the rest to die. Perhaps next version of W3 Super Cache will actually work as expected, perhaps not. It isn’t a viable alterantive today.
