    As long as your version of PHP supports the phpversion() function the plugin should work OK.

    If you are still having problems then it might be a JavaScript issue as the PHP version number is added to the WordPress dashboard via JavaScript. Please take a look at your site with browser inspector tools to see if there are any reported errors.
