Doesn’t work anymore in post 14.1 Yoast versions. Here’s the solution

  • Although it did its job well for many years, this plugin doesn’t work anymore. Newer, post 14.1 Yoast versions, have changed the way they add comments to the code.

    So a simple solution is to install this little plugin https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/dublin-core-metadata-generator/ and only activate the ‘Remove Yoast SEO comments’ option.

    It also has a separate option to remove all other useless meta tags, generators and advertising comments left by WordPress, WooCommerce, Slider Revolution, LayerSlider, WPML and WPBakery Page Builder (Visual Composer) plugins in just one click.
