Hello. I’ve added CPT at my website and where are some settings at Search Appearance -> Content Types. But I can’t find setting for archives. For example, I can set default title for my custom posts tool, but it’s impossible to change title and description for archive page https://seostation.org/tool/ – it’s always “Tools Archive”.
Is there any solution for this?

    Hi @br3t

We understand you’ve created a CPT called ‘tool’ and you’re looking for the archive page for this CPT to add the title and meta description.

Can you try going to your WP admin dashboard > SEO (sidebar) > Search Appearance > Taxonomies tab > and try to locate the archives section for your ‘tool’ CPT?

The only options I see in that direction https://monosnap.com/file/zZT0rvuKFpXCYGP58mAvVeqlFX8VV8
“Tool” isn’t mentioned in any of these blocks

Often, we see problems occur in combination with another plugin or theme. The fastest way to rule out any conflict, is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Twenty.

Please test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin has a troubleshooting mode, which does not affect normal visitors to your site.

If you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process: How to check for plugin conflicts

I went this way and problem wasn’t fixed by disabling another plugins.
May be this info will be useful: I used register_post_type in functions.php to create custom post types.

    Hi @br3t

We understand you’ve used register_post_type in functions.php to create your custom post types.

Is this content type ‘public’ and editable in the backend, and does it have a corresponding taxonomy such as a category? If so, we would then expect that your CPT would show up in the Content Types tab, and the respective archive would show up in the Taxonomies tab.

Otherwise, we’d like to refer you to our developer API if you would like to make any customizations to the default output – https://developer.yoast.com/customization/apis/overview
