• As of 5/2024 – I downgraded my ratings because there are way better plugins out there than this, anything you click on it is either a plugin or premium feature and good luck having your site around 50-100mb, because you cannot upload or import using URL, or path to local.

The latest version 2.1.x works and I would give it 5 stars. This plugin needs updating from the developer.
I am using Version 2.1.0.7 which is great and has amazon s3, dropbox and google drive options but unsure if you require additional plugins to work but my work-around was to dump the file backup.wordpress from ./wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-wp-migration/backups to my remote server and recover via web and it worked.

This saves you a lot of time, I normally tar.gz the site, migrate the mysql db and change the URL in 2 sections and I’m good to go. This fixes that but one major feature missing.

A must have in this plugin is that you cannot upload a file via ftp (500-1gb) zipped and use the url/link to avoid uploading via http and break things. Uploading 1.5gb migration it will not work because of the 500mb limit or whatever the server or php hosting company allows. Some limit to 32mb or 64mb or even 10mb attachments. Uploading the zip file to /home/domain.com/private/filename.zip and unzipping that into your ./public_html folder is much needed feature.

I know premium file is not limited to size but still uploading files via web page is not ideal, ftp or sftp would be the way to do it.

After 100% migration the plug-ins did not transfer. WordFense and html5 faq did not port over to the new site. I’ll manually have to upload the site and the mysql db, to make sure things are good.

    Hi DDArtPhoto,

Thank you so much for the review and very sorry for the inconvenience that the plugin had caused to you.
In the new version of the plugin (https://www.dropbox.com/s/zyoyi8c92bhpvr3/all-in-one-wp-migration%202.zip?dl=0), you will be able to upload the file via FTP.
Please give it a try and let us know how it goes.

The latest version does work and tested it, unsure about dropbox and google drive or s3, but the work-around I did was to take the backup.wordpress file your plugin created and dumped it in the ./all-in-one-migration/backups/.. and after use the restore function which worked out fine. A better way that saved me about 80+mb was to tar/zip the entire plugin with the backup copy and unzip it on the server because your plugin doesn’t use any sort of compression and my file went from 108+mb to 34mb..

I must say that you guys have “very” prompt response to bugs or features and I got an immediate response to my issue and the new link for download. This will be a ‘must-have’ plugin for developers and time-saving features.

    Thank you,
