• A while ago, I installed the professional version of the Ultimate Responsive Image Slider plugin. I was pretty satisfied with the free version, but there were some features missing like the ability to add external links. When I upgraded to Pro, then the “Update” button was missing, so I couldn’t save any of my sliders. The tech support was okay the first time; they made the “Update” button visible. Point is, upgrading a plugin shouldn’t cause it to malfunction, but what do I know? I don’t make plugins.

Next, I ran into another issue when I tried to change the name of a slider on my website. I tried contacting the tech support for help, and they proceeded to mess around with my website, making changes that I didn’t ask for, almost as if someone had hacked into my WordPress login. I had to quit the online chat, then go and revert the random changes that they made. I’ve decided to just leave it as is.

I’ve discovered that the highly advertised external link feature doesn’t work at all on mobile devices (in this case, that was an Apple iPhone 7 running Safari). Therefore, it was impossible for people to click onto the next page, where they can pre-order the product I’m selling. Considering half the Internet includes mobile users, I figured that I should get this fixed ASAP. I contacted tech support several times for help. No answer. I tried to figure out the issue myself. I looked at YouTube videos over how to make this thing work on mobile devices. Nothing. So, I went to the tech support again, only for them not to answer at all again.

I’ve requested a refund for this plugin. They won’t respond for a refund request, either. Although I understand that they don’t offer refunds on C or D licenses, their refund policy specifically promises to refund your money if they fail to resolve your issue. They’ve failed to resolve this issue, and yet they seemingly have no interest in refunding my money. I’ve now replaced this plugin with the Master Sliders plugin, which actually works on mobile devices (if you add the right code to the settings; available on their Support forums). They also have a professional version, but I didn’t even have to pay a dime. Works right out of the gate. I’m very dissatisfied with this product and this company as whole. Will NEVER buy from them again. It’s a good thing I only paid them $21 for this instead of $199 for a full package.

tl;dr if you’re looking for a slider plugin that doesn’t cost money for external links and is less likely piss off your mobile users, then try Master Slider. Better plugin IMO. And, you don’t have to deal with useless tech support.

UPDATE: They’ve granted me a refund, so I added an extra star to this review.
