• I can’t get it to work – at least not on a certain server.

It does work on my personal website that is hosted by a web hotel.

Both servers run Apache and I tried with the same theme. I don’t use cache plugins.

Any ideas or tips for what to look for?

Thanks for what seems like a godsend plugin!

    Hey,

it should work on every host.

Has the post already been there before the plugin installation or did you create it afterwards? If the first, did you test it with a new post and an embed?

How exactly are you embedding the embeds?

    Thank you for your reply.

I finally got it to work by deactivating Jetpack (after first deactivating almost all its features, but it had to be deactivated as a whole).

Even so, some embeds from Soundcloud didn’t work, but when I checked those posts it turned out that the simple link I had pasted had somehow been turned into iframe code. When I changed back to include just the Soundcloud link, it worked.

In fact, if I activate Jetpack again now, Embed Privacy still works for Soundcloud, but not for Youtube. In the very same post.

Anyway, I’m happy with my solution. Appreciate the plugin a lot, very simple and useful!

We will take a look into the combination with Jetpack!

Thank you for pointing this out.

I checked out enabling Jetpack on my local WordPress instance and unfortunately couldn’t reproduce the issue you have. Can you please share your Jetpack settings with me so that I can configure my local instance as near to your one as possible?
