Doesn't work with the "Posts in Sidebar" plugin

    I tested the Posts in Sidebar plugin in Twenty Ten theme and in Twenty Sixteen, when using the shortcode the images are clickable. Perhaps the theme is modifying the output, try temporary switching to a different theme and test the plugins.
    Also, in the Posts in Sidebar widget, click the Displaying Posts > “The featured image” and make sure “Link the image to the post” option is enabled.

    yes, it seems like the conflict is with the theme, couldn’t figure it out, so I;m using it on the sidebar.
