• Disables my Woocommerce site. Didn’t know it for three days until a customer called me.

The error I get after trying to process a payment is “Must provide a first name,” which is a required field.

I’ve disabled it until fixed, not knowing where to start.

You all responded quickly to my review and worked quickly to make your plugin work directly.

    Great customer service.

    Hi EvangelismCoach,

I’m sorry to hear you had a bad experience. However, I do wish you would have submitted a support request before posting a negative review.

I put together a Troubleshooting Guide and FAQ’s for users to check when they have issues. There is also Support Request Form for you to contact us if those don’t work.

Please submit a support request so we can help you and consider updating this review. If you look at all the 5-star reviews, you will see that when people submit support requests, we always help them right away, and go above and beyond.

Didn’t know where to start. I will start with the path you recommend above.

There are links to Support in the WordPress dashboard and the WP-SpamShield page.

There is a thread open about this issue and we are currently working on a fix.

I’ve started working through your checklist. . .

I’m checking on ftp settings (and likely .htaccess settings), since the link you give to the plugin directory is coming up with a page not found error. .

Having read your support thread, what I will add is that my setup creates new accounts automatically since they are digital downloads.

Yes, that page would come up as not found…you need to replace the “www.yourblog.com” part with your website address.

You can jump ahead to the support request part. I think we have found the issue and we’re testing a fix. Once you submit the support request, we can email you back a file to test out.

I did find the file in question and confirmed that the htaccess and settings were correct so I proceeded through the rest of the checklist. . . . .

I do wish i could change the number of stars for your attention to this matter.

    Ok, sounds good.

You can change the rating, but let’s fix the issue for you first. I’d like us to earn a 5-star review for you. ??

If/when you do want to change the rating, the link is: https://www.ads-software.com/support/view/plugin-reviews/wp-spamshield#postform

(Just click on the number of stars, you can edit the initial review and title if you like as well. Then click “Edit Post”.)

Thanks for your work to fix the problem with an update.

    I got the update.

Tested it with a dummy order and successfully placed the order this afternoon.

I appreciate your quick attention to the matter and you all deserve the 5 star review.
