care to test it on a clean wordpress install? I don’t see any problem on my 3.5 test site just yet, so it could be due to one of your plugins.

I have confirmed it works on fresh WP 3.5. Sorry about that.

On the site those screenshots are from, I figured out a few things:
– switching from Flash to HTML uploader didn’t help
– upgrading to newest version didn’t help
– turned out to be the “Installer” plugin ( https://wp-compatibility.com/installer-plugin/ ) that wp-types recommends. I’ve reported it to them.

I also have an issue with 3.5, it’s a new install and there are no other plugins. Faster image insert is active, but the wp default uploader always starts when I hit the media/insert button…….. any ideas?

You should be using the Faster Image Insert metabox (below main editor), not the default media button (we left it there so you can still use wordpress built-in function).

If you cannot find the metabox below editor, go to top-right of the screen and find “screen options”, make sure “Faster Insert” checkbox is ticked.

If there are problems within the metabox, post some screenshots to illustrate the issue and let us know your steps of reproduction.

……..actually I think the meta box wouldn’t show, I un-installed Faster Image and reinstalled the wp upgrade… then put Faster Image back. The box then showed up by default.

All good either way.
