DoExpressCheckoutPayment API call failed – Internal Error

Unfortunately, this is something that can happen in the sandbox quite a bit. The live servers don’t do this nearly as much (but it does happen sometimes).

All I can tell you if/when this happens is that you’ll need to wait a little while and try again later.

You can submit a ticket to PayPal MTS, but by the time they respond it will probably be working again anyway. I generally wait 10 min and give it another go.

I’m sorry I can’t provide a better answer than that right now.

Thanks for the feedback. It’s still not working if I try and check out in GBP, but if I check out in USD it gets further just failing when it reaches the completion as I have not found where in the Paypal standbox to set the currencies accepted.

Just to add this is the message
“Payment via Express Checkout Pending. PayPal reason: Multi-currency: You do not have a balance in the currency sent, and you do not have your Payment Receiving Preferences set to automatically convert and accept this payment. You must manually accept or deny this payment..”

Did this come direct from Paypal or the plugin?
