    Recently I have setup a multivendor store using EDD but as I was missing some basic but important features and experienced some other issues with their set-up, I want to look into the Woocommerce + Dokan Multivendor option to set up my store before launching it.

    I wanted to try the lite version first before buying the pro but after installing both Woo commerce and Dokan, following the set-up wizards, etc. multiple options in the sellers dashboard and admin panel don’t work.
    – When changing the store name and saving it in the seller’s dashboard, it changes back to the old name after leaving the dashboard
    – I can not upload a profile picture / banner in the seller’s dashboard. The upload button just doesn’t react (I registered and logged in into the frontend as seller to try this settings, not as admin)
    – Adding a product description didn’t work
    – In the admin panel I can see there is an active seller, but I can’t open the list with active sellers

    I started with deactivating / deleting all plugins which were not needed, as it had this problems I have deleted both Woo commerce and the Dokan plugin to reinstall them but without luck. I have followed the documentation, installed the wordpress https plugin, etc., nothing helped.

    Then I have deleted everything to start from an empty, clean WordPress site and installed the needed plugins, made the necessary changes in the permalinks,… but nothing helps and the problems persist.

    As I have read some great articles about Dokan and see some of the features I missed in EDD already available in the lite version, I do not want to give up on Dokan yet.

    Could you please help me out what the possible causes of this issues could be? I have set up 2 other sites on the same (dedicated) server of which one is also a multi vendor store and both sites work so I have no idea what the cause could be.

    ## “Multiple category option” is a pro feature , as you are trying free version,
    so this option will not work

    Thanks for your reply.

    Unfortunately I do not have the option to add the Google API-key, the field isn’t there in my Dokan settings.

    Any idea how to solve that part? I downloaded the lite plugin via wordpress and later via the wedev website. Maybe the google map option is only available in the Pro version but then it should not interfere the proper working of the lite version if it’s not included.

    Any idea when that version will be released? We have another website which will be linked to this one. As we are delaying the release of a new look and important changes of the other website until the store is ready to be launched, we unfortunately can’t really wait a couple of weeks before being able to start testing if the Dokan plugin is a good alternative for EDD.

    I have purchased the Dokan Pro version and the issues are all resolved. The only thing is the display of the store page but that is caused by my theme not by Dokan, anyway it is being handled now by your support which is proof of real support for your customers, thank you very much!
