    Hi Tobias

Not long ago you helped me out with adding dom parameters so that I could reposition the item count info at the top of the table.

    The table is here: Table

    The dom command is:

    “dom”: ‘Wilfrtp’

As I understand it, the capital ‘W’ in this command ensures that the column filter field is displayed along with the item count information

I have looked hard to find out more about these parameters but they remain very obscure!

Is there a parameter setting I can add that will similarly position the pagination widget at the top of the table (and also keep the Search field visible)?

    Many thanks.

    Hi,

thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

each letter there has a different meaning or resembles a different element.
For example, p is for the pagination. You can simply add another p in the string to get a second pagination control element.
For details and a list, please see https://datatables.net/reference/option/dom

    Tobias

    Thanks Tobias

That was helpful. I didn’t realise I could play with the sequence of letters like that! An experiment I should have tried.

Thanks for the link to the help page. I still don’t understand the details but this more or less does what I want:

    “dom”: ‘Wiplfrtilp’

I just need to tweak the CSS to fix the page layout.
