Domain Expired

  • I set up a wordpress blog a little over a year ago with a domain name from godaddy. The domain name expired in Aug 2012 and I just now renewed it. I cannot find how to get back to everything I had set up on wordpress. Have I lost my original site and need to recreate it? Or am I missing a step to hook the domain name and my site back together?

    Well, my ignorance will now show :))
    I have the domain name through GoDaddy, and the site is hosted with WordPress. I thought I had it all set up with www.ads-software.com. I did try logging in at .com, but that site says I am not a recognized user.

    So you have a hosting account somewhere? If so, have you tried logging into it?

    No, it’s hosted at www.ads-software.com, or it was there until the domain name expired. I did try logging into wordpress but I can’t get to my site, only the forums and the start up page. I think it may have dumped my info when the domain expired and I will have to start over, but was hoping not.

    I’m sorry but that’s not possible. www.ads-software.com does not host any sites apart from this one. Was your site on wordpress.com by any chance?

    Well, I’ll try .com again, but my old login info worked on .org but at .com it said no such user found. I think I’m just going to have to start over.
