Domain help

  • Hi, newbie here.

    I recently just registered my domain name and hosting with HostingIreland. After this I went and downloaded WordPress which is now up and running, themes installed etc but my only issue is figuring out how to transfer over the domain name I registered with Hosting Ireland.

    Is this to be done on WordPress or via the hosting company? I played around on both for so long trying to figure it out but to no avail.

  • How to connect domain name and your hosting account, depends on the host and if the domain and hosting are both with the same partner. If both are on HostingIreland, you have to check if your domain nameservers are pointing at your hosting account with them. If you have both your domain and hosting with them, in most cases they should work automagically. If not and you need more help on this, I would advise you to talk to your host, they just might do the needs for you.
