Domain mapping

  • Hi,
    I have hosting and domain name with a host in my own country for 15yrs now and paid up to April 2021. I thought that www.ads-software.com was free (found it on my cpanel) and I could use it to design a more simple and mobile-friendly site, but when I install the software it says I need a paid subscription to transfer. So it is not free then.
    Anyone got a way around this? I don’t want to be paying double.
    I have been using Dreamweaver all these years but got a new pc and DW won’t install, so I’m stuck.

    www.ads-software.com is free software. You might be getting confused with WordPress.com, maybe.

    To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and www.ads-software.com are two different entities: https://www.ads-software.com/support/article/wordpress-vs-wordpress-com/

    Or, if you are definitely not looking at WordPress.com, then what you’re describing may be hosting and domain registration fees. Even though the WordPress software is free, you do need to pay someone to host it, and you’ll need to continue to pay for your domain’s registration.
