domain mapping? plugin necessary?

  • I have WordPress 4.2.2, using godaddy where I can have unlimited domains. So the question is, do I need to use a “domain mapping plugin” (there only appear to be a couple) or are plugins not necessary to set up domain mapping? I’m pretty new and didn’t find much on the subject. For example, I have the main site, site1.com and I created a new site called site1.com/site2com so I want site2.com to display what’s at site1.com/site2com Is it possible?
