    Hi

I have WMPL running and use domain mapping for the english version of my website. Using CDN enabler, I setup another KeyCDN zone and tried to connect it, using WPML′s string translation. However, the plugin seems not to be able to be translated / working with the key zone for the english version for some reason. WMPL tells me, this is a problem with the CDN-enabler plugin?

    thanks for advising

Please open a customer support request instead. If this is related to the CDN Enabler plugin I’ll update this topic accordingly.

We’re looking forward to assisting you further.

This was in fact related to the CDN Enabler plugin so I’m updating this support thread for completeness in case anyone else finds this support thread in the future.

As of version 1.0.9 CDN Enabler currently looks at only rewriting URLs that contain the value in your Site Address (URL) setting or relative paths if the setting is enabled. This means as of version 1.0.9 to have CDN Enabler rewrite the serving URL of assets on your other domains they would need to either have assets delivered by your Site Address (URL) setting value (instead of the language domain) or be relative paths.

We’re currently refactoring the CDN Enabler plugin to improve it. We’ll add functionality to cover this, likely by somehow allowing multiple origin URLs to be defined when considering what URLs should be rewritten to use the CDN URL.

    Hello!

Could you tell me when this feature is expected to be available?

    Thanks!

    Sometime next month.

Okay! I’ll wait for it! Thanks!

CDN Enabler has been updated. ?? The default URL that will be rewritten will be the value obtained from the Host request header. That means rewriting the different language domains should be rewritten by default if the assets on that page all come from the same hostname. For example, if the page requested is https://de.example.com and all assets on this page come from this hostname, such as https://de.example.com/wp-conent/uploads/example.jpg or /wp-conent/uploads/example.jpg, they will be rewritten to use the new CDN Hostname setting value. If the Host request header is empty it defaults to the hostname obtained from the Site Address (URL) setting. It’d be great to get the feedback from either of you on this.

The cdn_enabler_site_hostnames hook is available to modify what site hostnames are rewritten if needed.

    Hello!

Sorry I haven’t given any feedback so far. Works perfectly, thanks!

That’s great to hear. Thank you for letting me know, @ivancza. If you haven’t already leaving a review is always appreciated.
