• Hello,
I have a question on domain name selection. Is it better to go with a domain name like clubmembership.us or .biz if that is the only suffix available? Or is it better to add a word like ‘builder’ or ‘creator’ to the end of it like clubmembershipbuilder.com in order to get the .com version. I guess my real question is to what degree does adding the word ‘builder’ lessen the value of the domain name or does it?
    Thanks,
    Egie

  • I’d prbably take the longer .com version over the others purely on perception but I’d probably also spend more time looking for a better short domain.

Club membership sounds so generic. I agree with, Vaughn. Always try to find a domain name with .com It’s recognized more 99/100.

clubmembershipbuilder is way too long of a domain name. Think about the number of times people might spell the name incorrectly as they type it in their browser’s search bar. Use the Google Keyword Analysis tool to find the most popular terms in your niche and try to incorporate those into your domain name.

Again this depends on personal taste, I prefer the main 3 or .com / .co.uk / .net as they’re easier to remember and personally sound better that. org.uk / .biz / .info etc
