• Ok so this problem has plagued me a long time now and I think it may just be I need a fresh pair of eyes to take a look.

    Setup: Windows 2003 Enterprise Server x64, IIS6, PHP 5.2.3 x64, MySQL 5.0.67 (AMD64), WordPress 2.6.x

What happens is when I setup my Site and Blog URL in settings, I get problems.

If I use https://207.216.209.158:83 , for those two values then everything works perfectly except my domain name doesn’t mask any of the links on my page. It’ll only mask the first page you browse to, then you click something and it’s back to my IP address.

If I use https://onec3nt.com , when I goto login to my blog again I get that stupid bug where it kicks you back to the login page without saying anything over and over. The site will be up and all the links will show the correct paths using the domain name, but I can’t login under any user.

I host the site locally, my domain name is registered through GoDaddy and directed at my IP and I use zoneedit.com to host my DNS info.

I’ve been tearing out my hair here, thanks for your help!!

Maybe I can word this easier..

All I’m trying to do is go from using my IP to access my blog, to using the domain name that I bought. I’m unable to because it won’t allow me to log in if I change the Blog URL and site URL settings. I’m booted back to the log in screen. Is there something else besides that I’m supposed to do to get this to work?

I looked at the help page to do with moving URLs, I couldn’t seem to find my answer there?

Nevermind, I used my IP for the WordPress URL and domain for Blog URL and it stopped looping.

Probably a good idea to label what those do, I noticed dozens of people with the same issue doing a search, none of which were resolved.
