    Hi all,

I have moved my blog from Blogger to WordPress using a temporary domain with my GoDaddy wordpress manager package. I already had my own domain name linked my blogger blog.
    I just went self hosted.
Everything came over, however I can’t for the life of me get WordPress to work with my original domain name. Everytime I go into Godaddy account and make my original domain primary it stops everything working.

I don’t know if that makes sense,,i’m losing all hope I’m ever going to get my blog back and up and running normally again.

Go Daddy advised me tonight to go into wordpress settings and change my domain in the general settings, everytime I try and input that there it just states I can’t change the domain there, i have to change it at Godaddy and it continues to refer me back again.

This is useless because if i change to my normal domain in Godaddy, i then lose access to wordpress and can’t log in, it gives me “method not allowed error 405”. so I can’t then log back in to change settings.

It’s driving me barmy!, I would appreciate any help. Thanks ??

Did you change your domain’s name servers or DNS records to point to your hosting account instead of Blogger?

If not, you’ll need to check with your domain registrar about this.

If you did, when a domain is registered or altered, there is a process called propagation, where information about the domain name is passed to internet service providers all over the world. This process can take up to 72 hours (though usually much less). During that time, your domain may go to its old location, and you may also receive a warning message in your browser about “redirect errors.”

If you still have trouble viewing the site after 72 hours have passed, please try clearing your browser’s cache.

If that doesn’t work, try clearing your local DNS cache: https://support.opendns.com/entries/26336865-Clearing-the-DNS-Cache-on-Computers-Servers-and-Web-Browsers

Thanks very much for the speedy response James!.

All sorted now, it turned out to be DNS Records.

Thanks once again for the help ??
