• I recently bought the https://www.mobilekunit.com domain through Hover and a hosting plan through Laughing Squid. I installed WP 4.0, and the installation seemed to work just fine. I deleted the index.htm file. I changed the nameservers through Hover to the two listed in the Laughing Squid doc (dns1.stabletransit.com and dns2.stabletransit.com).

When I type in my domain, it shows the default Hover blank screen (“This user has not enabled any redirections.”), instead of the blank WP page that should be there. BUT, I do get the WP screen when I access it through my iPhone or a different computer. This only happens on my own computer (running Windows 8). It happens with Chrome, Firefox, and IE. I have cleared my cache and rebooted, all with the same results.

Any ideas about what might be causing this?

  • It’s probably your ISP not having their DNS records updated yet. DNS propegation is usually an hour or two these days, but in some cases it can still take up to 72 hours to fully propegate. If you’ve gone to that domain in the recent past your ISP, or some other server in the link, will cache the DNS results and use them until they expire, so it may take longer for you to see it than anyone that hasn’t looked at that site before.

I’ve had a look, and your site is up and running on the default WordPress installation, so at this point I’d say to just be a bit more patient and you will see the site soon.
