Domain transfer??

    If i purchase a parked domain from one provider and then i host with another provider, do i have to do a domain transfer? I notice that i cannot get my site to work and this may be the problem.

    Host what (website?) with another what provider (a web hosting company?)

    If you buy a domain somewhere else, you need to forwarding it to your hosting company’s nameservers (if that’s what you are asking).

    Assume you have a domain registered with Godaddy (domain registrar) and you have purchased hosting at Dreamhost (hosting company) for that domain.

    At Godaddy, just set your domain’s name servers to the DreamHost name servers. If you don’t know your hosting company’s name servers, then ask them.
