Morning, thank you for the reply, Firstly the plugin is great and thank you for it! i have set up my checkout page and have attached a screen shot. it has the ID of 436 which is the checkout page.

Oh, I found the reason. Donation Platform for WooCommerce does not properly support permalinks in the form site.com?page_id=123. I will try to come up with a fix for this. Have you considered setting a proper permalink like https://adoption.nicosiadogshelter.org/checkout?
You can change the permalink structure here: https://adoption.nicosiadogshelter.org/wp-admin/options-permalink.php and also in the page setting for each page individually.
