Before I attempt to go into detail, I want to ask a general question.

My site appears to be having an issue with the actual donation form ONLY showing up when I am logged in.

Is there a setting somewhere that I missed in the documentation or when setting up the settings of my site that only allows logged in users to see the donation form?

I just looked at a couple of settings and it appears that I have the Guest and Registration settings correct:

I may have figured this out.

I have the GiveWp form popping up in a modal designed by Beaver Builder and Ultimate Add-ons for Beaver Builder.

But I also had the settings for the form in GiveWP set to “modal.”

I switched that setting to “all fields” and it may have solved the problem.

    I need to keep testing.

Here is the setting I am talking about:

    Hi there,

Thanks for doing the additional testing and providing those details.

Here’s a couple additional things to look for:
    1) Make sure your Give Form is actually Published. If it’s still in Draft mode then it can’t appear publicly while not logged in.
    2) If you see the form with “All Fields” set but NOT when “Modal” is set, then most likely there’s some sort of conflict issue preventing the form from appearing in modal mode.

If you can provide a URL of where we can see the problem live that would help us problem solve a lot more easily as well.

    Thanks!

    Thanks Matt.

Between my last post and now I upgraded to a premium version of the plugin.

So if I have any further problems (which I haven’t yet) I will follow up in the premium support forum.

Thanks again for getting back to me so quickly here.

A post for anyone else who develops this problem while using the free version of GiveWP:

It appears that the Stencil wordpress plugin conflicts with either GiveWP or Beaver Builder or Ultimate Addons for Beaver Builder.

The problem I described above kept re-occurring in various fashion, including getting to the point where the modal would not popup (the modal is an Ultimate Addons module) even when logged in.

After a bit of experimentation, deactivating the Stencil plugin appears to have solved the problem.

I reactivated Stencil, and the problem re-occurred.

I deactivated it again, problem solved again.

I’m not really a “developer,” but rather a long term WordPress hobbyist who has had many hobbyist sites as well as a few minor but important sites (like the one I am working on now).

So it is possible that I don’t know what I am talking about. ??

But, at this point, deactivating Stencil seems to be the solution.

Thanks for the info @thirstyjon — and glad to hear you’re a customer now as well.

If you’re loving GiveWP and having success with your online donations, we’d love a kind review from you here:

I am also having a problem with my site not displaying the donation form. The registration setting under donation options is set to none, but I’m still getting the ‘please log in in order to complete your donation’ message. Do you have any other suggestions? The site is savegiraffesnow.org
