    Hello, I have just updated to GiveWP version 2.22.0 and my donation form and donor dashboard now have a perpetual spinning ball. This happens with the multi-step and classic forms. The legacy form loads normally, so I am currently using it on my donation page at this url: https://musicofourmountains.com/donate/.

    When I check the browser console I see a 500 server error for one of the plugin files. You can see a screenshot from the multi-step form on the donation page here: https://i.imgur.com/mogyExp.png. You can also see an error on the Donor Dashboard here: https://musicofourmountains.com/donate/donor-dashboard/.

    I have excluded these pages from server cache so that shouldn’t be a problem. Any ideas on how to fix it?
    Thanks,
    Celeste

    Hi, @celeste-9.

    ?Glad you reached out. I can help you with that.

    The first thing we need to find out here is what are those 500 errors saying. These errors are usually related to some part of the code not playing nicely and breaking the website.

    That error message is a WordPress system-generated message that means something has caused a PHP fatal error. Whenever you see that message, it means that a more detailed error log has been sent to the main admin email address (which you can configure at Settings > General in the main WordPress settings).

    Check that email, and then pass along any error messages you are getting, and we’ll be able to help. Every time you see that error, it sends another email, so if you need to, you can trigger a new email to be able to see the error message again.

    However, if you did not receive the email, you can either activate the Debug mode on your site by adding the following to your functions.php file:

    define(‘WP_DEBUG’, true);
    define(‘WP_DEBUG_LOG’, true);
    define(‘WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY’, true);

    Or you can install the Fatal Error Notify plugin to receive the error on your email.

    Possessing the error message, paste it here so we can take a look at it.

    ?Also, please send along your System Info.

    Navigate to Donations –> Tools –> System Info (tab) and click the button to “Get System Report” and copy/paste that in your reply here.

    That will give me some more context to be able to help. Looking forward to helping you get to the bottom of this!

    Hi Matheus. Apologies for the delay. For some reason I didn’t get a notification for your reply.

    Here is the error message I’m getting with the Classic form:

    [05-Sep-2022 16:31:53 UTC] PHP Notice: Undefined index: visual_appearance in …/public_html/wp-content/plugins/give/src/Views/Form/Templates/Classic/Classic.php on line 203

    I have copied my system report below.

    Thanks!
    Celeste

    Hi Celeste,

    That’s a warning that would not cause the issue you are facing.
    You can disable error display in your site to prevent those types of messages from showing.

    That said, when I visit the Donor Dashboard iframe URL in the browser I get an error coming from the MP3 Soonar plugin. You can see it here: https://musicofourmountains.com/?give-embed=donor-dashboard&accent-color=%2368bb6c#/dashboard

    I have come across a couple of reports about this in our priority support forum as well. I’ve checked that plugin’s code and the class is not being declared twice anywhere like it says in the error. Maybe the function is called twice, once on the page and another in the iframe content. That’s just a wild guess. The plugin author can provide more details.

    The only workaround we could ever find was not to use the MP3 Soonar plugin as it breaks GiveWP iframe content for some reason.

    Hi Rick, thanks for the info. You are correct that this is an incompatibility with the Sonaar MP3 Audio Player. When I deactivate it, GiveWP works properly. The audio player error also disappears when I deactivate GiveWP.

    I’ll make a post on their user forum to see if they have any recommendations.

    Happy to help! If you have any other questions don’t hesitate to open a new ticket.

    Hi,

    I faced almost the same issue like this. I do not have any problem to access the admin dashboard but when I click the ‘donation’ part it will appear

    “`Internal Server Error
    The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

    Please contact the server administrator at [email protected] to inform them of the time this error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error.

    More information about this error may be available in the server error log.`

    May I know how you overcome this matter? Thank You.
