Just updated to the latest version of the Give plugin.

As per a similar post, my donation forms are all now saying they require login before they can be seen.

I have been into the settings for each form and under the ‘form display’ tab can see that form registration is still set to ‘none’

I changed them to requiring registration and then back to none again to see if that would help but no, they are now stuck requiring login despite it being set to none. See in the footer or on the donations page here…

Any idea how I can fix this please?

    Hi there,

Did you update to version 1.8.1? Please confirm.

Either way, you can just go into your form edit screen, to the “Display Options” tab and set the “Register/Login” option to “None”.

    Apologies for the glitch. Thanks!

    Hi Matt,

    Yes, running version 1.8.1

It’s the update to 1.8.1 that has broken it.

As mentioned, I have gone into the form edit screen and the display options tab and Register/login is set to ‘none’

I have tried switching it ‘register’ or ‘log in’, save it, and then change back to ‘none’ again, but all to no avail.

It’s permanently stuck in ‘log in’ mode??

We’re aware of this issue and have worked with several other users in similar positions. Each time it is resolved simply be re-saving the form with the NONE option. Do you have multiple forms? Is it possible you didn’t update the correct form? Do you have caching plugins that you can clear the cache on?

    Thanks Matt.

    Cloudflare – Doh!

Repeated the process and cleared the cache – solved the problem.

    Thanks….and great plugin btw!

One follow-up question. Did you see the Admin Notification asking you to update your Donor data? Did you click on that? That might explain why the setting didn’t update properly for you. Please let us know. Thanks!

I am having the same problem with my site, however, there is no cache on the server and no caching plugins enabled for the site. Cloudfare is not enabled.

We are in the middle of a crowd-funding campaign and would love to resolve this issue

Hi @elizabethgoward – Are you using the Recurring donations Add-on?

We have it activated but are not currently using it because Braintree is not supported and we have not activated a PayPal account.

you can see the form at https://www.schoolgardenproject.org/donate

    Disabling the link worked!

Hi Matt, no I didn’t see the admin notification and I updated it from the Dashboard directly rather than through ManageWP.

    Thanks.

I figured out a work around. I went to each donation form, switched it to disable guest donations, then re-enabled guest donations. Seemed to clear the problem.

As I have 18 donation forms it took a few minutes, but all is fine now.

My guess is the last big update affected this setting.
