    Hi there!

This is most often caused by a lack of the proper webhook (a mechanism for sending data from Stripe to GiveWP) set in your Stripe account. Our documentation on setting up the webhook is here:

    https://givewp.com/documentation/add-ons/stripe-gateway/#webhooks

If the webhook is correctly configured, you should see a record in the logs at Donations > Tools > Logs > Stripe for every event at Stripe (going forward). You’ll need to manually go through and mark the older ones as complete, using your Stripe account to cross-reference.

Note that as of GiveWP version 2.5.0 the webhook is required to mark things as complete, where before it was not. This is due to a change in the version of Stripe’s API that we are using, for forward compatibility and security.

Double-check that webhook and let us know if you need anything else.

    Hi Michelle.

I am also having this issue. However, I’ve reviewed Stripe and the webhook is setup correctly, but the “Amount Raised” still doesn’t update to reflect the change. It seems to only be the preset amounts that are the issue. The custom amount works just fine. Any additional thoughts?

@iskoldfusion It looks like your issue is resolved, given that you’ve raised over $20,000 since you opened the ticket, when I check the form!

@shieldsarts I am going to need some more context on what you mean. Are you saying that donations to preset amounts don’t affect the progress bar, while donations of custom amounts do?

Michelle’s response assumes that when a donation goes through, it is not marking as complete on the back end of GiveWP, which is what prevents a donation from showing in the progress bar.

Other things that affect the progress bar are caching and optimization plugins that limit the number of calls to the database. Often times a caching plugin will store a value like the amount raised and deliver that same value to the browser of multiple folks, to save on database hits. We wrote more about caching here: https://givewp.com/documentation/resources/caching/

I’m happy to keep digging, but I’ll need to know specifically what is going wrong!

    Hey @iskoldfusion,

Just checking in on this issue. We’d love to hear whether our support helped resolve the problem or not.

Do you still need assistance here?

If you’re all set, I’d really appreciate a rating here. If you still need help, reply and we’ll make sure everything is handled.

    Thanks!
