• Hi,

I have a question about the Give plugin and it’s compatibility with all major email providers. It seems like Gmail is not receiving any emails from Give. Hotmail on the other hand does in the spambox.

For my donation platform it’s essential that donors receive their email.
I’m such a great fan of your plugin that I don’t want to switch to another plugin.

    Please help me out,
    Kind regards,

    Jochem

    Hi Jocem,

How emails are delivered really doesn’t depend on Give much at all, but on your WordPress installation. We have a detailed guide on troubleshooting general email issues here:
    https://givewp.com/documentation/core/settings/emails/troubleshooting-common-email-problems/

Go through that and see if that helps resolve things for you. Let us know if you have additional questions. Thanks!

I’m curious if @jochembrouwer was able to resolve this issue as I’ve had the same issue (all of my tests to my own gmail addresses do not end up anywhere in the receiving Gmail accounts, not even in the spam or junk folders) when my GiveWP install is in live mode (emails are received in gmail accounts when Give is in test mode).

I’ve done all of the recommended troubleshooting steps and although the plugins confirm that the emails are indeed ‘sent’, there’s not a trace of them in gmail accounts when GiveWP is not in testing mode.

Thanks Matt for all you and the team are doing to make GiveWP awesome!
