Glad you reached out. Your best bet to make changes like these is to use Loco Translate. Loco Translate isn’t just a translation tool, it also functions as a word replacement tool. Instead of creating a new language file, you’ll just use your site’s current language. It’s much easier than coding!

One quick word about crowdfunding. GiveWP isn’t intended to support crowdfunding, it is designed to be a donation management tool. We do have a feature request for crowdfunding here: https://feedback.givewp.com/feature-requests/p/create-a-crowdfunding-campaign-like-gofundme-with-givewp

You’ll also want to check in with your payment gateway about crowdfunding. Some gateways have specific regulations regarding crowdfunding, and you’ll want to make sure they can support what you are trying to do.
