Donor and Donations missing info

  • Hello,

    I am testing Seamless Donations (ver. 4.0.13) as a possible solution for my donation needs.

    So far I have managed to sort it all out (form, payment procedure working, , thank you email, etc) but there are two issues I don’t seem to solve:

    1. When a donation is made, the Thank You page is not such. It is the Donations page with the Thank You page message pasted where the form was before making the donation. This seemed to work fine when testing from a draft page but not from the live one. Any way to solve this? I do not need an specific page that I could create. Just that the Thank You page shows.

    2. Though Donors and Donations show in their tabs, there is no email, amount or other info besides date and title (date and time of donation) in the case of Donations and Donor name and date of donation in the case of Donors. I looked at your videos and it should show all the info?

    Regarding #1, I’ve heard a from a few folks who have had that problem. It works fine from the standard themes, so my theory is it’s a theme-related issue. Try it on a standard theme and if it still fails, let me know the theme and the other plugins you’re running and I’ll try to duplicate it.

    Regarding #2, the Donations list shows four bits of information: donation date/time, donor, fund (if specified), and amount. Clicking into the individual donation shows more. The Donors list shows donor, email, occupation (if provided), employer (if provided), and donation amount.

    #1: Will try that though I guess it might be a theme related thing, Using Onetone.

    #2: Those are the bits of information I expected but for some reason, it only shows a title (which is actually the date and time of donation) and the date. On the Donors tab, it only shows title (which shows the name of the donor) and the date. In both cases, entering the donor or donation leads to no further information.

    You said Donor’s tab? Do you mean the Donor section on the left, on the dashboard? If you’re seeing a Donor tab, then you might be running an old version or in an old mode. Does your Seamless Donations icon show a gear or a palm tree on the dashboard?

    I mean the section on the left. I click and I see like posts with the info I mentioned.

    As for the icon, it is a palm tree.

    Are you perhaps using a plugin that modifies the admin area in some way? Or changes or acts on custom post types. Those columns are very straightforward custom post type parameter code, so there’s most likely something else getting in the way or breaking it.
