• Do not change the default names: your-name, your-email, and your-subject.

Flamingo plugin seems to use those by default to record them in ‘Inbound messages’. If you create your own email, name, and subject fields instead of using those given names, the flamingo plugin will not know if they exist and just record the submitted data as [your-name], [your-email], and etc.

This seems to be not mentioned anywhere on this flamingo plugin page or probably I’ve missed it.

  • Hello – We just had a similar issue so this might help you. You can specify the custom fields to send to flamingo by using the ‘Additional Settings’ for your form.

Ours looked something like this with our special field names – note that no commas are used and they are on separate lines. I didn’t see documentation for this but found it in another thread. Hope it helps.

    flamingo_subject: “The Subject”
    flamingo_name: [first-name] [last-name]
    flamingo_email: [email]

Hmph, I’ve already tried that before posting this but Flamingo was complaining about syntax errors. I will come back to this when I run into the same issue.

    Thanks!
