DON"T INSTALL, deleted all my theme files while i was developing it!!!

  • I LOST ALL MY THEME FILES BECAUSE OF THIS SHITTY PLUGIN.
    I RECOMMEND TO SKIP THIS ONE TO AVOID LOSING ALL YOUR FILES.
    YOU ARE WARNED. I WAS JUST FINISHING AFTER 3 DAYS WORK OF PROGRAMMING.
    INSTALLED THIS, AND ALL MY FILES GONE, NOT EVEN IN THE RECYCLE BIN!!!!

    AUTHOR, PLEASE STOP CREATING PLUGINS THANK YOU!!!!!

  • ACF is one of the most insanely great plugins.
    If you manage to lose your files then it is entirely your own doing … a plugin doesn’t even have the power to do this.

    With ACF plugin (clean install):
    – I try to install other plugins, all theme files gone

    Without ACF plugin (clean install):
    – I try to install other plugins, everything OK

    I really like ACF, but this is a pain in the ass.
    I know plugins do not have the ability to do these actions.
    But what would have the ability to do this? Actually nothing at all.
    Only the delete theme button has such function ??
    But only when I installed a plugin (an extra plugin) while ACF is installed this was happening over and over.

    I’m not sure what could cause this, but I’m pretty sure it’s not the plugin. I haven’t gone through every line of code in ACF but I doubt there is anything in there that could delete files.

    This plugin definitely doesn’t have anything like that, it just gets all sidebars and displays them.

    Plugins actually MAY have the power to delete files. You could theoretically just issue a PHP delete function, take a look at the PHP Docs.

    In any case, this plugin definitely can not cause anything like this.
