Don't like the 1 to 1 requests to Wordfence during login attempts.
-
Just some feedback…
I use NewRelic to monitor some of the sites I manage. I’ve noticed that every time someone or something tries to log in there is a call made to Wordfence. It looks like a 1 to 1 correlation.
Why? Why does there have to be so many calls to your API adding time to requests to my site and server load? I realize these requests may be small but they can add up.
When my site is receiving normal login attempts that don’t happen very often it’s not a big deal. When something is attempting to gain illegitimate access to my site making tons of requests to login it just creates extra load on my servers on top of what the attack creates.
I would appreciate it if Wordfence were to throttle the requests my servers make to Wordfence to reduce the server load during those attacks.
