Don't see Edit Toolbar, but random readers DO

  • For the last couple of months, my blog has been kind of messed up. When I visit my blog, I no longer see the edit tools or toolbar at the top. In order to do anything I have to go to the wp-admin page and do everything from there.

    In a possibly related issue, I have had 2 readers lately (one was on Aug. 26th and one was a couple days ago), who have told me that they visited my blog and COULD see the edit tools and everything as if they were logged in to MY blog.

    I am the only admin. These were just random readers.

    Everyone seems completely confused and I haven’t had anyone with any clue what could cause this. Hoping someone here can help me.

    ANyone have any advice about this issue? I have been unsuccessful so far. No one I have talked to has heard of anything like this.

    The first time it happened several people suggested my site has been hacked. I contacted my host company who said there were no signs of a hack, but I did change my password, etc. and the problem has persisted. I am at a loss, but this is a potentially devastating security issue.

    Have you tried deactivating ALL plugins and switching to the default theme to start troubleshooting this?
