As in the topic. When I hit post it, I get “your update has been posted” message and nothing happens. I see new post/status update only after I refresh manually the site.

To help troubleshoot, as a first step, could you please try temporarily deactivating all your plugins. Does the problem persist? If the problem is gone, reactivate your plugins one-by-one, testing the site in between each, to find the conflict.

@fabius219, Please don’t post any username/passwords even if it is a temporary one. ??

It looks like you are using a child theme of P2 ( https://www.ads-software.com/themes/mercury/ )

Can you try using just P2 and see if that helps? If it does it means the child theme may be doing something odd. ??

    Sorry fr username/passwords.
Obviously It was a temporary user.
I have already tried to use P2 theme but the problem persists.

Have you made any changes at all to the P2 theme code?

Curiously I have the very same problem.
    Just wordpress + P2 theme.

I have a vps, so no hosting problems should be doing this.

Any ideas on what can trigger this behaviour?

    Have a nice day!

kalimanmx – are you running any plugins? If so, could you please try temporarily deactivating all your plugins. Does the problem persist? If the problem is gone, reactivate your plugins one-by-one, testing the site in between each, to find the conflict.

Could you tell me what OS type/version and PHP version your VPS is running?

Fabius219 – Could you tell me what OS type/version (i.e. Ubuntu 12.04) and PHP version your host is running? Trying to determine if your setup and kalimanmx’s might have something in common. Thanks!

    Hello @kathryn!

I have a VPS, no plugin at all. Just vps + p2. WHM + cpanel.

I reinstalled the whole thing in a brand new account, and it finally worked partially. The posts are shown immediately excepting those with any media format.
    The info is this:

Could you explain more what you mean by this? Do you mean that if you select the Quote, Blog Post, or Link format on the front end, your site is still requiring a refresh to see the post?

Exactly. Text only posts are shown immediatly. The posts with any attachment does Not.

I wanted to let you both know that a new version of P2 (1.5.7) has been released. While we weren’t able to replicate the issue in this thread, the new version includes many fixes and updates and may have taken care of this, if you’d like to give it a try.

It’s available for download at the “Download P2” link here:
https://p2theme.com/ (scroll down for the link)

You can also read the changelog to find out what else has been updated.

This update is not currently available from your dashboard, since P2’s special functionality means it can’t be uploaded to the www.ads-software.com theme showcase right now. You will need to install or update the theme manually via FTP..

If you have any questions or have any issues with this version of P2, please let us know.

Hi Fabius219 – did you get a chance to install P2 version 1.5.7, did it work OK for you?

    Hi @kathryn!

The issues are gone since the update.

    Thanks!!
