I want to address this part and then I am leaving the review closed to replies as other people have chimed in and that’s not appropriate.
What assistance does wordpress forums provide us paying clients?
None at all. Nothing. Less than nothing. No assistance whatsoever. That is not an accident and is intentional.
For pro or commercial product support please contact the developer directly on their site. This includes any pre-sales topics as well.
As the developer is aware, commercial products are not supported in these forums. I am sure they will have no problem supporting you there.
These forums are for the support of opensource code and opensource collaborators (users) of that code. The reviews here are feedback about that experience.
When a developer hosts code on this site they do so as 100% unpaid volunteers contributing their time and effort for free and often without any thanks. They do not owe anyone support here, they do not owe anyone even a reply. It’s fantastic when they do offer support but again, they are volunteers.
There are no customers on this site. That said, when a plugin or theme upsells here or in the user’s dashboard then the developer invites feedback about that experience.
That is what this review is. Feedback about that experience. This review is 100% valid.
But that does not mean other people can brigade on these reviews. That does not help anyone and that happened. That part of the conversation was archived and while still visible to forum moderators is not visible to anyone else.
A person left a review. The developer left a reply. That’s all.
If someone else has their own experience to share as valid feedback then they can do so on their own review. The only requirement is that they had to have used the plugin. If someone reviews the reviews then that will get archived too.
