Thanks for your input demetris888! I think you make a great point; I have clarified the installation instructions to be more specific so that others may benefit in the future.

    Step 3 now reads:

Install and activate your theme’s support plugin. If you are running TwentyTen through TwentyThirteen, Styles will prompt you to do this. If you would like to use Styles with other themes, check stylesplugin.com or code your own.

I hope you have smooth sailing from here on! If Styles is useful for your site, please share your thoughts on it in a brief review or show us your site on Twitter.

Actually, Paul, Step 3 doesn’t look like it’s changed at all. That’s just an FYI, but to pick up on demetris888’s overall point, it would be nice if the video guides were a little more friendly to non-developers. After all, the whole reason they might be attracted to Styles is that they aren’t experts. Regardless, thanks so much for your efforts and I’ll just assume that if I can follow along, this is going to be great!

    Hi Scissorspeaks,

My apologies. It looks like the readme is displaying an earlier version — I’ll try to update it now.

By the video guides, do you mean the code walkthroughs? Those are the only videos I think we have at this point. They are certainly not meant for non programmers! A code walkthrough is a guide on how to program more themes for Styles. Those would only be appropriate for programmers to view.

I’ll certainly try to provide more videos for end-users in the future, but in general the only step necessary for non-programmers is to install the plugin. From there, prompts guide them.

    Paul
