Don't want new posts to open at top of website

I’m not knowledgable about any type of computer coding so please be understanding if this seems like a silly question. Is there a way to format my website so that when people click for the next post on a page or the next picture in a gallery it stays in the same location on the website? Each time I click for the nest post/image the website appears at the top and you have to scroll down to the new info. It’s not a major issue but I just would like it to be more user friendly. Can anybody help please?
