Don't want text as a post – just regular text

    I just want to make pages on my site that just have descriptions meaning I just want to add a few paragraphs of text information on the page. I don’t want it in the form of a post. I don’t want the date that I added the text or the ability for people to reply…

    I am new to WordPress. How would I go about doing this?
