shows the map but does not ask the location.
Your addiction problems be with google maps api key but now seem to work but does geocode

I think you maybe accidentally have disable the location requests in Chrome.

The message points you having to use HTTPS to access the users locations, but the part I don’t understand how it can then still work for me on your site? And if this is followed, then there really isn’t much I can do about it.

I did find this topic, and someone said this “we’re using https and this still happens”. So not sure if https would be the issue here.

When it asks permission you can normally approve it, deny it or always deny it ( or something along those lines ).

Can you check your browser settings in Chrome, if you haven’t accidentally denied it before? It does ask it in my browser, and as you said it yourself, it does work in Firefox, so it’s not a bug in the plugin.

Have you tried it on another computer with Chrome on it?

That will cause lots of issues for website owners who are not aware of this ( I did hear about it, but I forgot ). So maybe you do have to install an SSL certificate to fix it ??

@cristianmarrone it’s a different problem.

It does ask ( at least for me in Firefox ) to approve the location request. But since you didn’t set a start location ( the red marker is on the equator near Africa ), it can’t find any nearby locations on the equator and shows a pop-up saying that.

If you don’t get the location request at all, then make sure you didn’t disable it in your browser when it asked for approval before.
