• TOC+ is enabled by default on my website, which uses WordPress 5.9. If I don’t want to embed the table of contents, I do away with it manually using the [no_toc] shortcode. But since I’m using wordpress 5.9, the TOC don’t appear auomatically. I can make them appear by using the shortcode but that triggers a “Not valid JSON response” error in the editor every time. The page saves normally and works as usual, but the error message makes me curious. It only appears when I embed a shortcode element where I enter “[toc]”.

Is it me or my page or is this a known bug that is still being fixed? Otherwise, I’ll reinstall the plug-in and see if that helps.
