dosent work with 4.9.6

I’ve tried out the plugin on 4.9.6, and it seems to be working for me. What behaviour are you seeing? For instance:

* The plugin doesn’t appear at all
* Uploading a file does nothing
* Clicking “Insert into editor” does nothing
* The wrong HTML is generated

Do you get the same problem if you try different browsers?

Do you get the same problem with all documents?

yep , firefox and chrome

im just use it to upload my works in docx format and publish it as new post in my web
and yes, the plugin stop working immediately after update.
Note: im using Arabic wordpress Version, try to change your language and see.

Are you saying that the document appears correctly as a preview when you select the document, but fails to appear in the text editor after clicking “Insert into editor”?

What messages do you have in the “Messages” tab after selecting a document?

What messages do you have in the “Messages” tab after clicking “Insert into editor”?

If you open up the console in the Developer Tools (normally opened with F12), do you have any errors there?

I’m facing about the same issue as mentioned.

When I select a word document (docx), the preview looks fine. Then I click insert into editor and it starts processing. But when it’s done, nothing appears in the editor. The images of the file, do appear in the media library though.

These are the messages that appear after selecting a document:

    Warning: An unrecognised element was ignored: w:smartTagPr
    Warning: Unrecognised paragraph style: 'No Spacing' (Style ID: NoSpacing)
    Warning: Unrecognised paragraph style: 'TOC Heading' (Style ID: TOCHeading)
    Warning: Unrecognised paragraph style: 'toc 1' (Style ID: TOC1)
    Warning: Unrecognised paragraph style: 'toc 2' (Style ID: TOC2)
    Warning: Unrecognised paragraph style: 'List Paragraph' (Style ID: ListParagraph)

These messages stay the same after clicking ‘Insert into editor’.

I’ve tried it with Firefox and Chrome and both the same (negative) result.

I don’t know what you mean with ‘open up the console in the developer Tools’, so I didn’t check there.

I’ve tried a few documents, and all give the same result. I’ve also tried it with a document I’ve successfully uploaded before, and now it’s not working.

If you have any more questions, or if I can assist you in any other way, let me know. I would be glad to help as I would love the plugin to be working correctly again.

Hi I have just updated to WordPress 4.9.6 today and mammoth converter has stopped working.

I can upload the document ok into the viewer. When I select Insert to Editor is says Inserting the stops and nothing gets inserted.

When I Select All and Paste into the editor is hangs with a long running script and then when you clear that the document has not loaded into the editor.

hi Michael i have the same issue.
My client uses it to blog every day, and the behavior is it will take the upload to the usual place but fail to insert into the normal editor area panel. He blogs early in the morning, and god help us if i have to get up that early!

It looks like it might be an issue with TinyMCE. Could you try importing a document with the Visual tab open, and then the Text tab?

It looks like this is a bug in TinyMCE since v4.7.10, and WordPress 4.9.6 updated TinyMCE to v4.7.11. I’ve filed a bug against TinyMCE: https://github.com/tinymce/tinymce/issues/4401

When I get a chance, I’ll try to write a workaround.

In the meantime, using the “Text” tab should continue to work.

I’ve just released 1.10.0, which contains a workaround for the issue. Could you try it and see if it resolves the issue?

Now, that’s what I call an interesting bug!

There is absolutely not a single change in the code overall between 1.9.0 and 1.10.0. Just the “tested up to 4.9.4” and the new version number is different. Has WordPress introduced new bugs when checking for outdated plugins??

How is this possible? Could the bug had been in the SVN release system instead?
