• Hello, I have set up Tooltips including a glossary with a few terms. But on the front end, the corresponding terms that have dotted underlines have no tooltip.

I’ve tried the autoptimize plugin fix but no luck. However, this plugin has changed since your instructions so I’m not sure if I configured it correctly.

    Can you kindly advise?

  • I’m seeing Uncaught TypeError: jQuery(...).qtip is not a function errors on the browser console which also seem to be there with Autoptimize disabled for that page (by adding ?ao_noptimize=1 to the URL) so the autoptimize plugin fix is unlikely to help I’m afraid.

given I also see Uncaught TypeError: jQuery(...).qtip is not a function errors on the browser console with Autoptimize disabled for that page (by adding ?ao_noptimize=1 to the URL) as shown in the screenshot below, it is very unlikely any tweak of Autoptimize settings will help fix the problem I’m afraid …

Thanks everyone for your continued feedback. I’ve tried everything suggested so far and haven’t had any success. Like Optimizing Matters said, no combination of settings in Autoptimize has made any difference.

I’m using theme SWELL https://swell-theme.com/ caused similar issue.

Points to note when using the SWELL theme
Go to SWELL Settings > jquery tab > uncheck “Don’t load jquery-migrate

    Hi @genepine,

    Thanks for the reply ??

The problem which submitted by falltrekker has been solved by the new version of wordpress tooltip plugin ??

Thanks for the feedback, we will add a new option to allow users enable jquery-migrate in next version too ??

Thanks, have a happy day with your family ??

    @wesupport
Hello I will supplement it so that there is no misunderstanding.
This option means “Don’t load jquery-migrate”(for load the pagespeed)

Points to note when using the SWELL theme
Go to SWELL Settings > jquery tab > uncheck “Don’t load jquery-migrate

This is “checked” of the theme default.
I tested this option “checked”, WordPress Tooltips is not working.
So WordPress Tooltips should use jquery-migrate, probably for jquery compatibility.
Therefore, it would be helpful if you could modify the code so that WordPress Tooltips do not need to use jquery-migrate.
