• I know the developer does not respond to support here, but I figured she might check for potential issues to address with new releases. Or, at least I can make some people aware of issues ahead of time.

Anyway, I’ve discovered that if a user makes an error somewhere on the form (for example, they have to enter their email on the form and enter it wrong), Stripe will charge them twice. First, on the initial submit and the again on the second (or third or fourth) submit after fixing the errors.

Just a heads up for anyone that has a customer that experiences an issue.

  • Ah-ha! That might explain all those double charges I had to refund from our Stripe account. Nice catch Jeffrey, and hoping the author can fix this!

Actually, the double charge happens whether or not there’s an error on the form – I just tested it, submitted a payment myself: no errors but double-charge on Stripe.

I’m disabling this plugin and looking for another solution until a new version solves this bug.

Same thing. I am having customers get charged up to four times for the same transaction?!?! Anyone have a solution for this?

I’m still not positive, but I think this is what happened to me. In my case I think that the people who were being charged twice were using a company card and the zip code that they entered was not matching where the card was registered. They were getting notifications of an error on their form but the payments were actually going through.

To handle this I went into my Stripe Account general settings and disabled the zip code verification as well as the CVC verification. I didn’t have any more issues since then. Good Luck.
