    Hi,
I just want to confirm the places where to double check and confirm the installer.php and package is deleted.

Do I only need to check wp-shapshot folder? I’ve deleted the plugin after downloading the package and the folder is removed. Does that mean for sure all the installer.php and packages are deleted?

    Thanks

  • Hi @jleung,

    A few things:

    1. If you try to create a new package with existing installer files it will warn you and allow you to remove them.

    2. Goto: Duplicator > Tools > Cleanup > Click Remove installer files…

    Hope that helps~

I already deleted the plugin. Does it automatically remove it?

I also reinstalled the plugin, used the Tools > Cleanup, and uninstalled again.

Where should I be checking in FTP? wp-snapshot? or www/?
wp-snapshot already disappear after deleting plugin.

Removing the plugin doesn’t remove the installer files. The best/recommended time to do it is after you login to the new site. If you want to manually check then you will need to look at the root of your site where the wp-config.php is. Remove all installer* files and the database.sql file.

    Hope that helps~

ok, I don’t see those files on the live site. I guess that means the it’s already removed, correct?

    Yep, that should be correct!
