    Hi,

I use your plugin and it’s flawless as far as I’m concerned.

I ran a cookie scan and found 12 not-necessary cookies: 6 belonging to the plugin itself, 4 to addthis and 2 without description.
I added them all to the cookie list so that they show up when the user clicks on settings in the cookie pop up. They are by default disabled.

First question: if the user doesn’t actually click on settings and accept straight away in the first popup, will the not-necessary be accepted or not?

Second: if they are not, is there a way to turn them all on? Would this be GDPR compliant?

Third: I see I can edit each single cookie. I will translate the descriptions into italian language, but can I also edit their names in something else at my discretion? What about the duration?

Lastly: is it normal that the cookie scan doesn’t find anything related to google analytics or facebook pixel?

    Thank you
    Fabrizio

    Hi @fabriziomazzei,

No. Only necessary category will be enabled in that case.

Second: if they are not, is there a way to turn them all on? Would this be GDPR compliant?

Accept all feature is currently availbe in paid version of the plugin only.

Third: I see I can edit each single cookie. I will translate the descriptions into italian language, but can I also edit their names in something else at my discretion? What about the duration?

Do not change the name, id or duration during editing. You must only translate the description.

Lastly: is it normal that the cookie scan doesn’t find anything related to google analytics or facebook pixel?

If your site has these cookies, it should have been found by the scanner idealy.

Hi @webtoffee thank you for the clarifications.

As for the last point, why do you think they have not been found?
Considering that I see both Analytics and Pixel tracking people, there is never been a day without at least 1 view.

    Thank you

    Hi @fabriziomazzei,

While checking the website, the loading time of the cookies taking more than the usual time. This might be due to some script optimization. If you are using any kind of optimization plugins, please deactivate and try scanning again to confirm this OR clear the cache if any cache is active and try.

Hi there @webtoffee apologies for the delay in replying.

Indeed, I use a plugin called nitropack which does all sort of optimizations, including scripts and cache.
I cannot disable it as it is very useful. Do you suggest to disable it temporarily, scan again and reactivate it or to disable it for good?

    Thank you
    Fabrizio
