    Hi,

On iPhone 11, the red boxes for the symbols do appear, but a double click is required to change the selection to a different symbol, which is a fault.

I have tried disabling for example WP Rocket and all plugins that could be causing this, but it appears to be an issue with the plugin.

I am not using any caching on that specific page.

I am using the free version for now.

    Thanks

  • Hello,
This is a known issue on iPhone that I plan on fixing when I am able.
I will update this thread when the fix has been released.
    Thanks.

    Hello @sundstedt,
I have applied a suggested iPhone fix to version 3.2.2, please update the plugin and see if that resolves your iPhone issue.
If it does not work, clear your iPhone browser cache and try again, if it still does not work, please let me know.
    Thanks!

Thanks Kyle for the quick action.

I upgraded the plugin in WordPress and I cleared the Safari browser cache. Unfortunately the issue remains, clicking on another selection does not select it. A double click is needed.

To make sure, I also tried in FireFox, and it is the same.

I don’t know if you have access to the iPhone 11 (iOS 14.4.1) to test it?

I don’t know if there could be something else causing the issue, but because it does not happen on a Windows 10 PC, it appears to be related to mobile.

P.S. I use the plugin WPtouch Pro for mobile version of website.

Unfortunately I do not have access to an iPhone.
I use online browser testing software to test iPhones, but it appears the touch event is not simulated correctly and so it appears to work fine on iPhone from the browser testing software. The fix I implemented was from another user who told me it fixed the iPhone issue for him.

I will continue to look into this issue.

    Hi again,

I have a 2nd website that use a different theme. On that website the plugin works ok on iPhone 11.

So the problem could be related to the theme or plugin on my https://sundstedt.se website. But all my other plugins work.

By any chance do you have a caching plugin on the site that its not working on?
You might need to clear your site cache from the caching plugin settings to serve the updated styles.

I have disabled caching on the contact page, and I also tried to clear the cache on the site as well, that uses WP Rocket for caching.

I tried disabling the caching plugin the other day as well.

    Thanks

    Hello,
I was able to purchase an iPhone for browser testing and after a few days of testing the CAPTCHA, I figured out how to fix the pro version requiring a double tap on iPhone.
I use the speed optimization plugin WP Rocket, to solve the double-tap issue, I had to disable the option to “Delay JavaScript Execution”. When I had that enabled, then the entire form required me to double tap on the first load in order to use the form.
Does this describe what you are experiencing?

I am still researching this to see if this is something that I can resolve through changes with the plugin JavaScript file, but for now, the only thing that seems to fix the issue on my test sites is to disable the “Delay JavaScript Execution”.

Closing ticket as the issue appears to be caused by the settings in the WP Rocket plugin.
I recommend testing the WP Rocket JavaScript file settings if you are encountering this issue, turn them off, clear cache, and then turn the settings you want back on, one at a time. I can confirm that WP Rocket does work with the Image CAPTCHA but it’s dependant on your settings, I also highly recommend WP Rocket as it is the caching plugin I use on my own website.
