Double content in single event page

    Hi Guido,

    I’m an ‘WordPress advanced beginner’ (no css knowledge), building a new website with the Twenty-Twentyfour theme from scratch. I’ve installed the plugin, and it’s love at first sight because of its symplicity.

    I’ve one issue: on the single event page, all content is shown twice. See image in link.

    Can you please help to fix this issue?

    Hi Marc,

    When I activate Twenty Twenty-Four the single event page looks as expected. Did you change the single posts template perhaps, via the editor?

    Hi Quido,

    Thanks for the swift response. I did change the single post template, because it included the content (‘Inhoud’) twice. See screenshot.
    I’ve restored the original again, but the issue with the event keeps the same – even worse because now content is shown twice in the event as well.

    Addendum: for posts the page looks like this: double ‘inhoud’, but no ‘upper part’ like in the event.

    Hi Marc,

    I have no experience with Full Site Editing (FSE) themes such as this one. This is a quite new way of building websites. All I can say is that it looks fine over here. No double content.
    Found out that you can easily revert back to original template(s) via Editor > Templates > Manage all templates (Alle templates beheren). A list of all templates is displayed and you will see the ones that you’ve changed.

    Hi Guido,

    I’ve been experimenting with the template. It came out that the block “Samenvatting” caused the issue. I assumed that this was related to the summary field of the event, but it came out that it was a summary of the full event.

    Hi (hallo) Marc,

    Thanks for the update!
    In hindsight I should have used the default excerpt/summary field instead of adding a custom field for that. But with 10K installs it’s probably not a good idea to change this now.
