    Hi cgirgenti,

What version of the plugin are you running? The double optin is hardcoded into the plugin by default. There currently is no way to switch things over to a single opt-in.

After a user submits through the form are they being added to your list? The way it should work, is a user submits there information and then they are to receive a confirmation email. Once they have clicked through that email, they are then added to your list. They shouldn’t be added without clicking that link via email.

We are about to release the 3.0 version which utilizes the latest version of the MailChimp API. Its possible that the older version of the API has some deprecated functions that are causing you some issues.

    Thanks,
    Evan

    Hi Evan,
Thanks for getting back to me.

    I’m running v2.2.1

My shopping cart (WP eStore) allows me to change the setting for single opt-in. It was set up a while ago and I didn’t even remember. The plugins were conflicting and the shopping cart won!

I received an error within the cart files when I tested the mail form and then checked. So sorry to have wasted your time.

    I appreciate your help!
    Thanks, Crystal

    Hi Crystal,

So glad you were able to get things sorted out! I’ll be working on implementing a method for switching between single and double opt-in as well as a few other tweaks. Thanks for using our plugin!
